When we came back from Australia in December 2011, I returned to my part-time job with the goal to keep painting on my days off. I have managed to stick to that plan and created enough to put on a show. Relatives of mine, John and Carol Kirby, suggested I submit to the gallery they volunteer at, the Art Gallery of Bancroft (
www.agb.weebly.com), where they live. I did and I was accepted. Thank you, John and Carol, and the rest of the board at the gallery for the opportunity!

I finished my last painting this past weekend and drove up to Bancroft yesterday to drop the paintings off. John and Carol fed me at their lovely home on Tait Lake. We then headed to the gallery, unloaded the paintings and started hanging them. The opening reception is this Friday evening. As with any artist, I had moments of elation when I would experience breakthroughs in my techniques and moments of feeling shattered when the 'flow' just wasn't happening. I experienced that this past Saturday night. I am done for now - I did it - Phew!
